Different domains for SAP Portal and Nakisa

Hello!

Could you please help me?

We have installed SAP Portal on SAP NetWeaver 7.01 and Nakisa Application on SAP NetWeaver CE 7.2.

So Nakisa and SAP Portal are hosted on different domains. We are going to use SSO2 authentication (using logon tickets), but SSO seems to donu2019t work between two different domains.

Can Nakisa be installed on SAP NetWeaver 7.01? If not, how can we configure authentication for Nakisa?

Regards,

Ekaterina

Hi Ekaterina,

You are correct that SSO only works when your SVSN server is on the same domain as your Enterpirse Portal. The solution here, if you cannot put both servers on the same domain, is to use a domain alias for your SVSN application server. This works and I have been forced to use this method on a number of occasions. No additional configuration is required in the Portal or in the application(s).

Best regards,

Luke

Hello colleages!

Thank you for quick reaction!

Luke, could you please provide more information about how to configure a domain alias for Nakisa application server (we cannot put both servers on the same domain)?

Our basis team is not acquainted with the technique unfortunately...

Best regards,

Ekaterina

Hi Ekaterina,

This is not anything specific to applications, it is a task for your infrastructure team. The people who put your server on the network need to do this.

Best regards,

Luke
