Strategy group and availability check on make to Order SAP S4

Hi All,

I have a basic question ,please consider below scenario.

I have a BOM with 1 Finished Product and 1 Raw Material in Make to order scenario. for the finished product I am getting a planned order and for the raw material I am getting purchase requisition as expected. 

for the raw material, I also have a available stock, I want to get a purchase requisition if my stock doesn't fullfill the order. So my question is , what would be the Strategy group and availability check on Finished material and on the raw material in MRP 3 view?

Hi,

For RM net requirement to consider the available unrestricted stock also, then the RM stock shouldn’t be managed as sales order stock. Therefor for the RM, in the material master MRP4 view, set the individual/coll indicator as 2.

For an example for FG you can use strategy group as 20, and for RM, no strategy group but set individual/coll indicator as 2.
