Crystal Reports XI TLS1.2

Hi to all, i need some advise, heres the thing:

we have a very old applications developed in vb6 that use CRXI to generate some reports and pdf files, but now we are implementing tls1.2 and we arent able to connect with the sql server, allready download Microsoft ole db driver 19, and we still getting the error

Logon failed

ADO Error Code: 0x80040e73

Source: Microsoft OLE DB Service Components

Description: Format of the initialization string does not conform to the OLE DB specification.

i found on another link that we need to update to Crystal Reports XI R2A (11.5)

is there any available link to make this, and keep trying on?

That version had no idea of newer TLS 1.2 and thus it will never work with that security. CR was updated to support that security format.

Note, it has nothing to do with Crystal, Security is done through the Client, CR XI will not recognize the newer MS Clients that support TLS 1.2.

Upgrade to CR 2020 64 bit or 2016 32 bit is your only option
